insurance

I've just noticed in the past few weeks that my eyes are going. I was in the library trying to read a sign that was clearly within what i thought was my reading distance but found it impossible. Then the next day in my chem lab i had to move closer to the board to read some numbers written down.

Overall I'm rather excited. I have a thing for girls with glasses and I hope this will help me attract nerdy bitches. We'll see. The only problem right now is the fact that I have no insurance. My mom quit her job so I'm no longer on her insurance as well. Maybe this blog will net me enough for an eye exam? I sure hope so.

Contacts are definitely the way to go, unless you can afford LASIK or related surgery.

Yeah, Wasabi has it right.

depends on if you have a face for glasses, and then good glasses. if you're ugly, some frames can help you. otherwise, contacts are amazing, speaking from personal experience. get accuvue oasis if you do.

Hopefully you're super skinny and super hipster so you can pull off those thick rimmed glasses. If not, go with contacts.

I went the other way. I wore glasses and then got PRK.

As long as you get intellectual glasses, and not hipster glasses.

It's about time for me to get my ass to the optometrist as well. My current prescription is over 2 years old. But I, too, have no insurance. :(

I've been wearing corrective lenses for over 5 years now, and never bothered to get contacts. They're much more expensive and high maintenance. I love being able to just take my glasses off when I'm reading something up close or going to bed or whatever.

glasses > contacts
